Meetings are at the heart of philosophy. They are not a formal activity nor a space for disseminating results obtained elsewhere. They are a privileged space for reflection, providing academic ties and institutional advances. In the case of this “MEETING WITH FISP” in Salvador, from November 24 to 28, 2025, the objectives are clear:
1. Hold the first “Brazilian Meeting of the FISP Steering Committee”, offering favorable working and deliberation conditions for this directing structure of FISP;
2. Hold an ANPOF assembly, with conditions conducive to debate among its members, as well as open space for the meeting between the coordinators of Brazilian philosophy programs with CAPES and CNPq;
3. Hold a specific assembly of the Interamerican Philosophical Society (SIF), which reinforces the institutional role of the meeting;
4. Promote broad dialogue between members of the national and international philosophical community, encouraging commensurate quality standards in our area;
5. Contribute to the internationalization of our community and the international recognition of our research;
6. Present research developed in Brazil, basing the selection of works on both epistemological tolerance and high-quality standards;
7. Contribute to the training of philosophy professionals, with the presentation of research by professors and graduate students, as well as by philosophy teachers in secondary education, in addition to offering (especially to undergraduate students) mini-courses taught by prominent researchers in our field;
8. Strengthen philosophical activity in the Meeting region — particularly in Bahia- with the prominent participation of professors and students from UFBA, UFRB, UNEB, UEFS, and IFBA;
9. Create conditions for the presentation, at an opportune moment, of a Brazilian candidacy to hold the first World Congress of Philosophy in South America.
